Reclaim Evanston is committed to promoting a progressive political agenda for Evanston and to building a supportive constituency. To this end, we:
- actively recruit interested residents by canvassing and holding public meetings on major issues
- recruit and train and support candidates for local offices
- work to elect candidates who share our values to office

Reclaim Evanston endorses, elects and holds accountable elected officials who put the needs of people and the health of our planet before corporate profits. Our grassroots members lead a rigorous endorsement process and dedicate thousands of hours to talking with voters about our values and endorsed candidates.

Jobs/Economic Opportunity
We support living wage jobs that keep up with the cost of living, allowing employees to afford the necessities of life. These jobs should provide benefits, security, stability, decent working conditions and opportunities for advancement. We support workers’ rights to join a union, and economic development strategies built upon a commitment to expanding opportunities in economically disadvantaged communities.
Reclaim Evanston — Affordable Housing Campaign
The inaugural platform of Reclaim Evanston from 2016 identified Affordable Housing as one of its primary focuses and specifically identified the enforcement of the City’s Inclusionary Housing Ordinance, making changes to zoning regulations to expand affordable housing and increasing funding for affordable housing as our priorities.
