Reclaim Chicago is proud to endorse Mary Rita Luecke for Illinois State Representative of the 17th District, which includes Northwest Evanston, Skokie, Glenview and other Northwest suburbs, because she will fight for a state budget puts the needs of people and planet first. Mary Rita believes our state should put hundreds of thousands of Illinoisans back to work by investing in the things our communities need: world-class public K-12 and higher education;

safe roads, bridges and transportation; green energy infrastructure; social services; Medicaid and public health. She knows Illinois can make these investments if state legislators make big corporations and the very rich pay their fair share. Mary Rita believes government has a particular responsibility to educate people for the jobs of the future, ensure employers pay living wages and respect workers’ rights, and make it easier and less expensive for people to launch small businesses. Mary Rita served two terms on the Evanston-Skokie D65 School Board, including two years as president. Marty Rita is an attorney and lives in Skokie.
